Alex Xenopoulos brings over 30 years of experience in life sciences and bioprocessing, uniquely combining strong technical capabilities with practical business acumen. He is currently the Principal of AlphaX Bio Consulting, where he has conducted projects in both Europe and the US. Alex spent many years in R&D roles at MilliporeSigma before transitioning to business development positions. Most recently, he served as Senior Director at Repligen, focusing on strategy and business development. Throughout his career, Alex has helped companies create strategies, enter new markets, identify partners, and assess M&A opportunities. He has been very active in forging collaborations with academic institutes and biotech companies, resulting in a strong network of industry contacts.

Alex's recent experience includes technology landscaping, executing M&A and business development deals, and conducting due diligence and asset integration post-acquisition. He has broad expertise across both upstream and downstream aspects of biomanufacturing and process development, including PAT, purification, and cell culture for modalities such as antibodies, vaccines, viral vectors, and cell therapies. His extensive experience and strategic insights have made significant contributions to the advancement of bioprocessing and life sciences, positioning him as a key figure in the industry.
